  1. I finished! The book made me rethink many things I do. I'd forgotten the reasons we read the first bit of class, use bridge maps for vocabulary, play Boggle and Scrabble; I'd done them so much I just went with my pattern. I am adding new techniques; talking to teachers more about differentiated assignments so students have more options to learn.

  2. Yea, I am still breathing. The book gave me more awareness on how to do some things differently and still complete an assignment. We are using notecards for the 10th grade vocabulary tests now that includes 8 weeks of words, we have narrowed down their choices. I have several years copies of textbooks, many times the older ones are easier to understand and read than the new ones. A lot of the new textbooks appear to be too wordy. I liked the comment on the top of pg. 132, "perhaps the real story here is that the traditional educational system is what's disabled." I suppose some teachers are a little afraid of the unknown. Maybe we all are to some degree.

  3. This is a great book that breaks the concepts down into easy to process chunks. I think it would be a great book to share with teachers who are interested in trying to use differentiationin their classrooms but have questions and aren't sure how to do it. I can't wait to share the book with a few teachers I know are interested in this subject and learning more about it.
